Badmómzjay returns after two years
Live in Zurich on 7 October 2026 with the Haus im Meer Tour
Badmómzjay is one of the defining voices of the new generation in German-language rap. With a clear attitude, her own distinctive style and international influences, she has long established herself as a major force. Her career began to take off in 2019, when she appeared as a featured guest on the song “Papi” by Swiss musician Monet192. From then on, things moved quickly: her own releases, further features and two successful studio albums followed over the next few years. With millions of streams, strong chart positions, numerous awards and sold-out tours, Badmómzjay has built an impressive career. Her music combines self-confidence with vulnerability, and this authentic honesty resonates strongly with a young generation. Following the album Survival Mode (2023) and the accompanying tour in 2024, things initially became quieter around the artist. In January 2026, she offered an explanation with “Haus im Meer (Intro)”: she had largely withdrawn from the public eye for two years in order to focus intensively on herself. The song reflects on a formative period marked by mental health challenges, therapy, personal losses and intense self-reflection. In powerful lines, she speaks openly about anxiety, the conscious process of working through her own trauma, and the pressure that comes with growing success. Badmómzjay paints an unfiltered picture of this phase, while also making it clear that this very process became the foundation for her artistic development. The single serves as the intro to her upcoming album Haus im Meer, which will be released on 4 September 2026. To give this deeply personal project the live setting it deserves, she will bring it to stages across Germany, Austria, Luxembourg and Switzerland. The Haus im Meer Tour will also take her back to Zurich, where she will perform at X-TRA on 7 October 2026.
