Grandson announces two Swiss headliner shows
grandson will release his new album INERTIA on September 5, 2025 and announces an extensive Headliner tour through Europe next year. The maximalist sound of the new album is inspired by the realization that fans seek catharsis at his concerts, where they find optimism and a like-minded community that gives them the opportunity to transform their pain and hopelessness into something meaningful.
In his INERTIA era, grandson uses the raw power of his sound to draw attention to issues such as the resurfacing fascism, increasing misogyny, attacks on Queer rights and the Palestinian solidarity movement. His latest tracks “BRAINROT,” “SELF IMMOLATION,” and “GOD IS AN ANIMAL” are loud calls for justice, generating explosive energy in live performances.
His message was underscored when he performed as a headliner on the Left Field Stage, the activism and debate hub at the legendary Glastonbury Festival. The music magazine Louder Than War described his performance as an “epiphany … grandson has brought Rage Against the Machine’s heavy-duty funk to a new level that confronts the chaos of the present.”
grandson, whose real name is Jordan Benjamin, says: “The moment I’ve waited for since the end of the last headliner tour two years ago is finally here—we’re bringing resistance back to Europe. There will be concerts where you can be completely yourself and let loose—not only in the music but also in the collective spirit of countless other souls who stand for the same things as you do and who rise up together and say: We won’t take this crap anymore. When the lights go out and the first notes ring out, it will get chaotic. I can’t wait!”
