Age restrictions

The age limits for each party are shown in the party calendar. Normally, the following restrictions apply: the minimum age for admission to parties is 18 or 20 years or 16 years if explicitly stated.

Unless shown otherwise in the calendar, the minimum age for admission to live concerts is 14 years of age. Children between 6 and 14 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Children under 6 years of age will not be admitted.

Disabled access

People with disabilities must have a valid admission ticket. We recommend that wheelchair users contact us a few days before the event and arrive at the right entrance to the building approximately 10 minutes before doors open. You will be able to enter the building immediately before the official door opening and access the Main Hall or Gallery via the lift.

The Gallery has a bay that can accommodate up to 4 wheelchairs and offers an unobstructed view of the stage.

There are a limited number of seats in the Gallery and/or Main Hall for guests with minor or temporary disabilities. Seating is provided as a temporary rest area and does not guarantee a view of the stage. We are unable to guarantee seating and seats cannot be reserved. We recommend that you arrive early.

If on the day of the event you have any queries regarding assistance for people with disabilities, please contact a member of our security team. For enquiries before the event, please phone us on 044 448 15 38

ID checks

X-TRA has successfully introduced a general ID check to guarantee the safety of our guests as much as possible.

This has reduced the number of incidents involving violence or theft to a minimum. It also enables us to react quickly and appropriately in case of a medical emergency. Our ID checks are only partially related to age verification and will also be applied to people who are evidently over the age of 16 or 18.

Official ID includes a passport, an identity card, a residence permit B or C or a driving licence. Only original documents will be accepted because their rightful owner can be identified only on the basis of these documents. SBB general or half-fare season tickets will not be recognised as official ID.

Identity document misuse

Visitors who attempt to gain access to X-TRA with a forged or another person’s ID may be held by SECURITY until their identity is established by the police.  SECURITY will also confiscate their ID and pass it on to the relevant authorities.

The forging of identity documents is an offence under Art. 252 of the Swiss Criminal Code (StGB).

Refusal of admission

X-TRA reserves the right to refuse admission to individuals or groups who are intoxicated or whose conduct is deemed to be unacceptable even if they are able to produce official ID.

Security measures

Enhanced security measures and ID checks unfortunately cause delays at the entrance. In order to keep these checks to a minimum we kindly request that you don’t bring bags or backpacks to events unless strictly necessary. Each bag or backpack will be checked. Bags and backpacks bigger than A4 size will have to be left in the cloakroom.
